Joel Bernstein

Joel Bernstein

Joel Bernstein is a self-taught photographer who grew up near Philadelphia. When he was 16, Joni Mitchell asked him to be her photographer. The week he graduated high school, Joel was invited to photograph Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young at New York’s Fillmore East. Among those photos was the image that Neil Young chose for the cover of his third solo album, After The Gold Rush. Joel went on to make many more iconic photos of those artists, as well as Jackson Browne, Laura Nyro, Tom Petty, Bruce Springsteen and Bob Dylan, and countless others.
